I’m Helen, a registered independent marriage celebrant now based in beautiful Taupō. For nearly 12 years I’ve had the privilege of officiating over 400 wedding ceremonies, from large celebrations to intimate gatherings and everything in between.
My role is simple: to listen closely, understand what matters most to you both, and craft a ceremony that feels personal, thoughtful and truly yours.

How we'll create your perfect ceremony together
WE MEET
We catchup, in person, on a call or online. You get a sense of who I am and what I offer and I get to ask lots of questions about you, your love story and ideas for your marriage ceremony and the style and vibe you want.
I WRITE
I will work to craft your love story into a personalised and meaningful marriage ceremony. I have lots of resources on how to write your vows, a selection of some great contemporary readings (if you want them) and lots of other ideas of what you can include in your ceremony. I can send you a draft and we keep revising it, until it is absolutely perfect.
YOU WED
It’s showtime. I’ll arrive early at the venue, ready to guide you and your bridal party through the ceremony. I’ll get you to sign the Marriage Licence after your vows, with two witnesses and then when it is all over, I will lodge the paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages NZ and your union will be 100% legal.
